We are delighted to welcome back award-winning journalist and author Dhruti Shah, who recently became an Honorary Fellow (Practictioner) at the Centre for Journalism after a long career at the BBC and in local newspaper journalism.  Dhruti is an expert in sourcing and verifying stories via social media among other things, and has been at the heart of many big stories. She was on duty the night of the storming of the Capitol building in Washington last year.

The theme for the masterclass is 'Journalism stripped back - the art of telling a good story' and there will be opportunities to ask questions.
This session will bring together CfJ students and the new BBC Senior Journalist Apprentices, who are training with us for their NCTJ qualifications.
It is being held in the Pilkington Building (Room 130) on the Medway Campus, so please come along in-person if you can.  It is a big room.  If you prefer to join in online, you can.  The meeting link should be in your Teams/Outlook calendar.  If it's not there, please go to the Teams area called CfJ family 2021-22 and click on the meeting.
Before the masterclass, please come along to a free sandwich lunch in The Hub's Mezzanine (go to the back of the main room and up the stairs), from 1230-1.15.
You can find out more about Dhruti and her work here: https://dhrutishah.com/
